Discipleship

Life-on-Life Discipleship is where we gather consistently in groups of 2 or 3 for intentional investment, encouragement and accountability. What do we do in these meetings? In discipleship, we challenge one other to look UP (personal relationship with Jesus), look IN (integrity of our hearts and relationships) and look OUT (our participation in God’s mission).

Gender & the Bible
Facilitated by Mick Murray
Confusion around what it means to be male and female is rampant in our society today. Is gender a fixed biological reality or an internal sense of identity that can change? Can I be born in the wrong body? Should Christians use pronouns that do not align with someone’s biological sex at work or school? Does the Bible—an ancient text—speak to these present questions, and does it square with science? What about people who are intersex? What do I do if my child just came out as transgender? How can the church respond with compassion and clarity? We are offering a course to explore these questions (and more) from a biblical viewpoint. Join us to be part of the conversation!

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative, living, eternally reliable Word of God, equally in all parts, and without error in its original manuscript and our primary and authoritative source of revelation from God, superior to conscience and reason, though not contrary to reason. Therefore, the Bible is our final authority for faith and practice and is necessary for our daily lives as it continually points us toward the person of Jesus. [2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Peter 1:23-25; Hebrews 4:12]
